The egg -enter•grow•go, a CSR initiative by Eurobank in cooperation with Coralia, is a program supporting young, innovative entrepreneurship that has received a $100,000 grant from The Hellenic Initiative (The Hellenic Initiative).
Through The Hellenic Initiative grant, the egg Program enabled all of the teams participating in the three (3) annual cycles of the program to compete in a specific pitching event. The THI-funded awards are the among the largest ever given to young, innovative entrepreneurship in Greece.
The special event organized today awarded monetary prizes by the egg Program and The Hellenic Initiative to three innovative businesses that participated in the egg Program. They were distinguished for their promising vision, viable strategic plan, and high level of professionalism.
The selection procedure was developed in two (2) phases: 29 out of the 63 start-up companies that have been hosted at any of the three (3) cycles of the Program, submitted a short business plan and, following an evaluation process, the 12 start ups with the higher score, moved to the next phase, presenting their plan in the Startup Pitching procedure.
Today, during a three-hours session, the companies presented in front of the judging committee in a 6min pitching and were evaluated based on 11 metrics, including, for example, the comprehensiveness of their business plan, the understanding of the target market and competition, the mapping of the global market, the viability of the business activity and the investment value of the company.
Monetary prizes that are the highest ever given to young, innovative entrepreneurship in Greece, were awarded by Mr Stavros Ioannou, Deputy CEO of Eurobank Group, Mr Vassilios Makios, General Manager, Coralia. On behalf of the Hellenic Initiative, an award was presented by Mr Jeremy Downward, Member of the THI Board of Directors.
